If you haven’t joined the Twitter craze yet, a new article from Website Magazine speculates there is a good chance you never will. Thanks to the latest version of Facebook, which includes real-time news feeds and status updates, Twitter is about to be out-twitted.
Compared to MySpace and Facebook, Twitter’s competitive niche is (or was) the immediacy of communication. Not anymore! Without countless applications and extensive search capabilities, Twitter is really just a bunch of one-liners.
Of course, not everyone appreciates the MySpace wannabe that Facebook is turning into. The applications cause pages to load slowly, and the level of creepiness has significantly increased with the intensively detailed status updates.
So, the question is, will Twitter die-off? Or, will it just be demoted to an easier-to-use, mini-facebook? Read the article and form your own opinion.
