Ok, so it’s no secret around Solid Cactus that I’m no fan of snow… It’s snowing in Northeastern Pennsylvania today and boy is it coming down out there! But part of being Solid Cactus is realizing that our customers aren’t all from the Northeast… In fact our customers are in Florida, Texas, California, and other warm weather havens.
So, as we prepared for the storm yesterday, employees loaded up flash drives, set up their computers for remote access, and ensured their VPN access was available so they could work from home.
Our management team has ensured that we have a contingency plan in place for inclement weather… What will your company do in case of bad weather? The Post Office might move things during snow, sleet, or freezing rain… but not if you’re not there to pick, pack, and ship them!
Think about ways you can be plan ahead and be “ready” if snow, storms, or other hazards hit while I go heat up some hot cocoa and enjoy the fact that the cold weather will be gone in a couple months… Truth be told, I’m not a fan of the dog days of summer either. Why can’t it be September all year long?
